This space provides emotional support for vegans and animal advocates who are experiencing depression, anxiety, loneliness, vystopia, burnout or other distress related to caring about animals.
We are a vegan support line and offer one-on-one support for all animal activists by phone or chat, without scheduling.
On this helpline, you can talk with a vegan activist who shares your values without needing to explain or defend your ethics.
Feel free to email support@accentworks.com to receive an automated reply with the phone number, or start a chat here. New callers receive 20 minutes of support free.
Is this a hotline?
We aren’t a 24/7 service and are fee-based; however, calls and chats are available without scheduling.
What kind of support is offered?
We provide confidential support for animal advocates using empathy and, if desired, emotional wellness coaching. Our services use principles of Conscious Communication, also known as Nonviolent Communication (NVC). We aren’t able to support suicidal crises. If you’re in immediate danger, please dial 988 in the U.S., or a suicide crisis service in your country.
How is this line different?
Can I call anytime?
Yes! Please email support@accentworks.com to receive an auto-response with a phone number you can call right away or whenever you want support. If the provider isn’t available, your call will be returned as soon as possible. Please check your spam folder. If you prefer a support chat, or have questions, you’re welcome to start a chat on this page.
Is it free?
We’re a private company and unfortunately can’t offer exclusively free services. We do offer 20 minutes free support for new callers. If you’d like to continue, time is billed in 15-minute increments, $25 each. A rate of $20 per 15 minutes applies once one hour of paid time is reached. You can talk for as little or as long as you need. Payment is accepted via PayPal and debit or credit card.
Who will I talk to?
Each conversation is with a female vegan activist with extensive training in Conscious Communication and more than a decade of experience providing needs-based coaching and empathy services.
What do you mean by empathy?
We view empathy as a compassionate, respectful understanding of what you’re experiencing—being fully present to your feelings and what matters to you.
How do we talk?
Support is by phone or chat (via this page).
“To a man whose mind is free there is something even more intolerable in the sufferings of animals than in the sufferings of man.”
— Romain Rolland (1866–1944)
